Tudor Wives

This is the first in what will be a series of six still-life ‘portraits’ of the wives of Henry VIII.

Inspired by Katharine of Aragon’s long and tragic battle with infertility and child loss, the pomegranates – Katharine’s personal emblem – are spoiled by insects and birds who quietly eat away at them.
